Frequently asked questions

How to make a Twitter banner?

Making a Twitter banner with Taler is simple and should only take a few minutes from start to finish. Taler is designed with small businesses in mind who don’t have a graphic design background, so anyone can create gorgeous Twitter headers. Select a template and choose from lots of cool choices to customize, or start from scratch to design your own and add stickers, images, filters and effects.

How do I change my Twitter header?

Once you’ve signed on to Twitter, make sure you’re on Twitter.com, or the Twitter app for iOS or Android. Check your file type for your Twitter header photo to ensure that it is supported, Twitter will accept JPEG and PNG file format for Twitter banners. The maximum size of a Twitter cover photo is 5 MB. The dimensions of a Twitter cover photo are 1500 x 500 pixels and if you designed your cover photo using Taler the photo will be an exact fit for the dimensions. Once you’ve loaded your new Twitter header, make sure to press “apply” to save your changes.

Can I make a Twitter profile picture in Taler?

Taler doesn’t currently have templates for Twitter profile photos but that’s coming soon! Check back here or on Taler’s social media for updates. For now, we’d recommend using another Shopify tool, Hatchful, to create a logo. When you export logos from Hatchful, it will download the logo in several variations including a social media icon that is sized perfectly for Twitter.

What size is a Twitter header?

Twitter recommends a banner size of 1500 pixels wide by 500 pixels tall, however, if you notice your banner being cropped and it is the right size, keep in mind that the edges of your banner will be cropped up to 60 pixels depending on the size of the screen it’s being viewed on. When you select the Twitter header size in Taler, it will generate a template or a blank slate that is exactly the size you’ll need for Twitter. Typically, there’s a “safe-zone” in the center of your banner of around 1440 x 420 pixels. With Taler’s Twitter banner size templates, your designs will already be adjusted to meet the Twitter size and dimension requirements.

How do you save a new banner on Twitter?

Go to your Twitter profile and click “edit profile” to upload your new banner. Click the camera icon to swap out your Twitter cover to the new file you want to upload, and select the file you downloaded from Taler. Once you’ve uploaded your new Twitter cover photo on Twitter, make sure to click “apply” to save your changes.
